I just got a shiny arceus from internet trade and he's not an event. Is he legit? also, i have a regular arceus for trade. Any offers?

  • You can try asking the Memory Girl, If it doesn't remember anything in it's past then it's not legit.

  • I don't think it's legit. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there's ever been a shiny Arceus distribution. You should still keep it, tho.

  • there is a shiny arceus but it was only given out in japan. and there are alot of cheated ones out there.

  • It is possible I believe the person could have caught it in platinum,traded it to HG or SS then did that little minigame to get it in BW or BW2 Then used pokebank this must have happened before nintendo shut the internet down on the DS and Wii

  • All Arceus are shiny locked (can't be shiny) except for the event one that was distributed in Japan about 2-3 months ago. The one you got was cheated for if it isn't an event but said pokemon wont mess up your game in any way if you decide to use it.

  • @ Yuki, The not having memories thing isn't a sure fire way to tell if a pokemon is legit or not. As someone who has the ability to create and edit my own pokemon I can give or take or even change memories as I please. Any event pokemon and any pokemon obtained in gen 3-5 wont have memories either.
