    Biggest reason is probably because it can't heal a lot of HP without resorting to Rest. There's also other pokemon in higher tiers with similar stats that people would rather use that can heal theirself.

    I hate how Smogon segregates Pokemon how "Good" they think they are. There's a lot of really Good Pokemon in both UU and NU that a lot of people really over look and are under appreciated. Mity, if you want to use a Clayton, then you go out there and train the best dang Claydol this world has ever seen.

    Anyone can pick up a Pokemon that a millions of other players use successfully and use it successfully too. It takes skill to play a Pokemon that has never seen competitive battle before properly. Last year's VGC World championships proved that.

    @N5 I guess, but what about resto chesto. @Darian I know, I know. I would use claydol in ubers if I really wanted to. Also, why is ludicolo in NU. It is way too good on a rain team.

    @ Darian, But they dont. Other than the borderline groups between the tiers, their tiers are based on how often pokemon are used on teams, not by how powerful they are. Any relatively decent Pokemon player will tell you that what tier a pokemon is doesnt matter in team building and that there are plenty of good pokemon out there in lower tiers than OU.

    For example, Alomomola and Amoonguss are considered two of the best possible pokemon to use in a stall team but both of them are in RU because most people don't use that playstyle. Kabutops, Omastar, Ludicolo and Kingra are four of the best pokemon for a rain team but not everyone uses rain so they're stuck in NU/RU because they dont perform as well on non rain teams

    @ the whole VGC thing, even though Pachirisu isn't any good in singles, it was never ever considered a bad pokemon in doubles. Its actually the best Follow Me user that was allowed in VGC 14's ruleset (Clefable, Togekiss + others were banned.) It only faced real competition from Amoonguss from a team building aspect and Pachirisu fit that guy's team better than the other did so he used it instead

    @ Mity, Chesto Berry with Rest is ok I guess but its only a one time use move while every other time after that leaves you vulnerable while that pokemon is asleep. I guess it wouldn't be as bad if you're using it in combination with Calm Mind or Cosmic Power but I wouldn't try setting up stat boosts until after you've taken care of your opponent's physical attacking dark/water/bug types

    I luv using pokemon that r not OU. It's fun and makes u feel like u hav a unique team. That's why I got my Mega Aerodactyl instead of Kang, Gengar, Raquaza, Gardevoir, etc.
