My gosh! I had no idea that SR'ing Rayquaza would be such a pain. It's even worse if you would like to SR Deoxys too. There is no saving after capturing Rayquaza until after the Δ Episode is complete. Here, I thought SR'ing Lati@s was bad. I'm starting to believe Game Freak is trying to discourage SR'ing for competitively optimal Legends.

    SR means soft resetting ;) I got lucky, cause I got a 4ivs naive one (outstanding potential) on my first try XD

    Soft-reset (SR) is sending the game back to the title screen. It is most often used to re-roll the RNG for Legendary Pokémon encounters to get desirable natures and IVs.

    Couldn't you just faint Deoxys the first time, beat the Elite 4, the SR when it just waits at the top of Sky Pillar by saving just before you fight it? Wouldn't that be easier?

    I didn't get that great of a roll for my first time around. I ended up with this: Rayquaza (Jolly): 31/25-26/10-11/13-14/31/31 I didn't even bother with Deoxys this time. I may just settle on leading with a Naive or Hasty Synchronizer just to make SR'ing for the two easier.

    You know, I completely forgot about that option. I guess I was blinded by my rage for the lack of accessibility to the player's start menu during that event sequence.

    I do usually use Synchronizers. I simply prefer Rayquaza to be a physical sweeper rather than a mixed attacker, which is how I prefer Deoxys.
