    IV = Individual value It's a predetermined, randomized number within a stat from 0 to 31 that helps a bit with the stat itself. Think of it as genetics for Pokemon.

    Well, they're actually hidden values. You have to plug in a long equation to get the exact numbers. However, there is a judge in the Battle Resort's Pokemon Center (an Ace Trainer, I believe). Based on what he says, you can get a really, REALLY rough guess at a few IV's of a selected Pokemon in your party.
