    It's really not lazy. They took extra time and did extra work to make this extra content. It makes sense that it would cost extra money. And besides, it's an add-on, it's not part of the main release. So it's bought separately.

    Yea well I didnt have to buy Toon Link and Dark Pit, they could be used as add ons, but they aren't. You know why, because that would be stupid.

    Sail, you make no sense. The ones you mentioned are unlocks. The newer ones are DLC. So yes there is a fee

    But the difference is that these characters weren't even planned to be in the game until after the game was finished. So it took ADDITIONAL time and work to make them, and they expect to be paid for that.

    1. If its made after the game is released, make it a part of a update. It will encourage people to buy the game, it wont encourage people to buy the game then pay +$10 for DLC. 2. The eshop had so much traffic that people that bought the DLC didn't even get the characters, it wouldn't be a problem if they just put it in a update.

    But if it's free, then they're doing all that extra work and getting nothing for it. That's not a sound business decision. Sure, we would like to not have to pay for it, but the world doesn't work that way.
