Hey guys, i'm having a problem with the controls. My gamepad's left analog stick has been malfunctioning: sometimes when i'm online i make my squid run but nowadays my squid walks instead of run. Is there a way to fix the left joy-stick? Thanks! :3

  • I sometimes have the same issue. I bypass it by pushing the stick down and it helps maintain the forward motion. Another trick is to walk diagonally. Strangely enough, the forward motion is more likely to cut out if you move the left analog stick forward then release (repeatedly).

  • Now that I think about it... It might be Splatoon. It even affected me while navigating through the wii u menu. I stopped playing and started playing COD BO2. The symptoms have declined... I'll keep you posted.

  • I think I have more information, you got a bundled Wii U? I got the Wind Waker bundle and for whatever reason its not only Splatoon having issues... Seems like some Wii U owners are having this issue.

  • Yeah, i had the Super Luigi U bundle.

  • Yeah, for whatever reason... The bundles have been diagonsed with a couple of issues. For instance, my Wii U gamepad's stylus wouldn't stay secure (one of many possible abnormalities) and the left analog stick issue. The one issue I haven't had yet is the charger issue or gamepad battery failure (it won't take a charge). Just thought I should let you know.

  • Thanks. I don't know about the charger issue, mine charges but at times the battery runs out quicker than before. And the position of the charger is crucial also. If i move it one way, it stops charging, if i move it another way it charges...
