    Having played every generation, dedicating most of my free time to the games for as long as I can remember, I have never encountered a wild shiny. I've bred a couple, but it just feels like they're hiding from me.

    Dont give up, you'll find one some day, in fact, the only reason I got shiny Golbat was through Random Encounter, so I didn't even try, you did, so trust me on this one, you will eventually find at least one, so keep trying and i know you'll get it
