you must accomplish certain tasks Gold shovel: give the museum all the fossils in te game Gold net: give all te bugs in game to the museum Gold axe: buy 50 saplings Gold fishing rod: give all te fish (river and ocean) to the museum golden slingshot: pop lots of balloons once you have the silver sling shot

Well if you meam the tools, who to do time comsuming things. XD If i'm right, to get a golden net, you need to get EVERY bug in the game and make sure your muesum has a 2nd floor. I'm not completely sure tho ¯\(•_•)/¯

The golden tools aren't needed for anything, so they're just prizes for months of effort. The silver tools are the really useful ones. Buy three at the museum shop. Buy a silver shovel, fishing rod, & axe, at least. (The axe appears in the Island shop.)

@Nicole, you have to buy 50 fertilizers to get the golden shovel. And you forgot the golden watering can, which you get by having a perfect town for 15 days straight. And you do need to catch all the bugs and fish in order to get the golden bug net and fishing rod, respectively, but you have to talk to Nat and Chip to get the respective tool.
