    Young Link originates from Ocarina of Time, And he went into the Lost Woods to find Navi so it would seem to make sense. However, It was never actually revealed that he found Navi. After Majora's Mask he left Termina which is why it's not Tatl or Tael. The name was likely just an oversight, I'd like to think it's Navi. (Although it suggests otherwise.)

    Yeah, they probably used Proxi instead of Navi to make it ambiguous if Young Link ever found Navi after the ending of Majora's Mask. Plus, Tatl and Tael appear during Young Link's Focus Spirit Attack.
