    That's because of how replays are made. It's not a video. It's actually just the characters using your button inputs to play a match exactly like a previous one. It's basically like re-typing a paragraph instead of taking a screenshot of it. Because patches oftentimes adjust characters' moves, trying to play an old replay would make it go quite differently.

    (this is as simple as ican say)because of probability of game crashing cuz the replays in question would most likely be from previous versions with different data so if you were to witness data that currently shouldnt happen with current updates with other different data the most probable result would be the game crashing hence why the replays from previous versions get deleted with newer updates

    i knew thats how the replays were being played. but step in my shoes. i just came back to playing from 5 months ago to see this tragedy. all my glorifying matches i use to watch for hours are nothing but memories in my heart. CRUSHED
