    Okay, so when I was a kid I always wanted to work at Nintendo, so one week I drew a bunch of Mario levels on paper. I called the number on the back of my 64 to give them my ideas. ( no joke) but they said they couldn't take ideas from kids. The was very nice, and he said he would listen to my ideas though.. The weird thing is..

    In my " game" Mario uses a hammer a lot to defeat enemies. Mario never uses a hammer though! But he did in Paper Mario!

    That's called circumstantial evidence. Plus most of the game design ideas come out Japan, so you talking to a NOA Customer Rep doesn't mean anything. Mario used a hammer in the first game he was in called Donkey Kong. He used a hammer in Wrecking Crew and Super Mario RPG too, so unfortunately Shigeru Miyamoto came up with the idea of Mario using the hammer first.

    @Kasuto. You know at first I was just being hopeful, but now I'm sure of it. Miyamoto actually just called, and told me (in japanese of course) that he was that rep and that I, and I alone am responsible for Paper Mario. He thanked me for my contributions, and wired over my lost royalty payments. He also thanked me for coming up with all other Mario ideas, even for the games that predate my birth.
