Blocking and/or ignoring them is the best method to dealing with trolls on the internet in general. But I'm also surprised people haven't learnt this yet. Trolls thrive on the attention they get, so if they know they won't get it, they'll stop...in theory anyway.

I don't usually join troll posts, but when I do it is only to calm down the situation or clarify misleading information :-). By misleading information I mean like "Zelda U got cancelled" ;^^. I just ask if they have any trustworthy sources they can refer to ;-). (Matthew if you want to let this conversation sleep you can comment on this comment in my post :-).).

@Kira I only join those kinds of posts if I know it was meant to be a joke, like someone asking if Link is Zelda or something along those lines (that's actually the only ones I join, now that I think of it.) As for other troll posts, I just ignore them completely. Or I try to get others to follow my example by saying "I respect your opinion" on certain ones. And I think some of them worked.
