    Wants to be the very best, ignores literally every League ever. Constantly drops Pokemon instead of training even further. Too stupid to figure out Team Rockets stunts despite 5 continents of being tailed. Sends Pikachu out at EVERYTHING.

    To be fair, Pikachu's his first and main Pokémon, and he doesn't ignore all his other ones. I'm not trying to pick a fight btw, i'm just stating my honest opinion, that's all, honest.

    Ok, i'll give you that one, but it WAS the very first season. Every first season of any show in general that ends up running for awhile has some kind of problems or issues.

    I honestly wouldn't care if he showed any real improvement, but he's almost as inept as always. Even shounens protags like Goku get slightly less brain dead.
