    isn't the point of Turf War to kill? i mean, my last 7 Turf War games were losses because the majority of my idiot team mates wouldn't push the other team back, because K/D is key!

    Here's why having everyone ink the base first is really, /REALLY/ bad idea: Cons: Your frontline is now moved to your base. Good luck getting out! The most difficult thing you can ask a soldier to do is take that heavily fortified position. 1 in 3, they'll take it. In Pokémon, if an attack worked 33% of the time, no sane person would even use it.

    You only get one special. Rush the center and you get two: one on the way there and one on the way back. Save your base for a back up plan when you desperately need to break the other team's defenses. Even if you say, "I play for points, not wins. There are usually more points to be had in the center. The center usually has more surface area. Your base is typically a lot smaller.

    Even then, Judd, Nintendo Treehouse, ProJared, Jwittz: they all say saving your base uninked for a special for when you need it is a good strategy.

    @Gamesake: Um...you do know that if the other team inks your base it means more points for them, right? And could lead to your team losing? Every inch counts. I cover as much ground as I can. Starting with the base.
