To be honest, I think Call of Duty is a better deal to get on Day 1 than Splatoon. Atleast CoD has some content when it's released, DLC or not. While Splatoon only had like, 4 maps and 1 mode.

    Excuse me, but Splatoon has ALL of it's content already finished. The only thing that's unfinished/incomplete are some weapon descriptions, friend matches, and friend vs other people's friend matches.

    Not to mention, Splatoon wasn't even close to being Mario Sunshine. Mario was never even featured in any beta builds of the game. Splatoon originally had you playing as white and black tofu, while you shot ink everywhere.

    I would assume an mechanic like Splatoon for a Mario game would be Sunshine. But anyways, Splatoon had VERY limited content when it was released. And with a $60 price tag, it wasn't worth it.

    I know it's free, but still. 4 STAGES ON DAY 1?!?! AND ONLY 1 MODE?!?! ATLEAST CALL OF DUTY HAS LIKE 15 STAGES, AND ABOUT 5 MODES ON DAY 1.

    Ahem, 7 Stages on day one and 4 Modes on day one. If you want to get technical, 10 Stages on Day 1 and 9 Modes on Day One.

    7 stages doesn't sound like a lot, but 5 modes sounds cool. But in online mode, there's only like 2 modes.

    On day one there was two modes, Recon and Standard Battles, along with the single player and Battle Dojo. Splatfest battles are technically turf wars, so three modes. I bet you don't even know what maps are included.

    I just got the game, but it just seemed like a waste of money on Day 1. But, can you tell me how many modes were ONLINE? (Splat Fest is an event, not really a mode. That's like saying Christmas on Animal Crossing is a mode)

    Two. You don't have to even include recon to say two, Splatfest does have it's own gamemode. Also, what does Animal Crossing have to do with Squid Kids?

    Animal Crossing was an example, while Splat Fest does have a independent mode. It's still an event since you can't get it anytime you want.
