Basically, your base is easy to get back to and recover so its not a high priority. What is is pressuring your opponents into defending theirs. What happens is they're so busy defending themselves that they're doing nothing else.

I find it more frustrating when one of your team mates discounts. (But lol so true XD)

Exactly! It's like staying at the finish line in Mario Kart or your base in StarCraft. You would never do this in any other game. It would be a death sentence.

Let me put it another way: In your standard Turf War, you have 3 whole minutes to ink your base. Meanwhile, you really only have 10 to 15 seconds to make it to mid before the other team does, depending on the map and skill of the other team. Based on these facts, which of the two tasks are you going to prioritize: the one you can do any time, or the time-sensitive one?

It's actually a good thing that the whole team runs towards the enemy base first to rush them so that you're team can have better control over most of the map. Then when someone dies and goes back to base, that would be a good time to start inking the base as they go.

I actually agree with LinkIsMine. Although, this also tends to annoy me and scream at my team every time this happens.

I ink the base after I rush ink towards the enemy base and die and get teleported back to base. That's usually the best time to do it. You don't wanna stay around your base in the beginning while the rest of your team goes towards the enemy base because they need you.

Anyone who says inking the base first is good is probably not good at the game.

It's especially annoying when you have to ink the base alone with a CHARGER. (AKA the worst weapon type for covering ground.) I always cover the base first. It's great for racking up points for my Special. "But the middle is more important!" It's best to focus on getting both done early. I ink the base while my teammates take the middle. That way both get taken care of.

I always use the roller so I try and ink as much as I can towards the enemy base until I die, then when I respawn at base, that's when I focus more on inking the base wherever there is no ink. If you use the roller, it's your job to focus on inking as much as possible because rollers aren't good for range attacks. If you have a ranged weapon then it's more your job to try and kill anybody you see.
