    That's the right formula. Water by hand, even if it rains. Because it takes so long to get hybrid reds, most people use many orange & blue pansies. It's even better to use fertilizer, possibly buried with a golden shovel. Arrange as many hybrid reds as you can in a separate bed in a recognizable pattern. You must remove any new reds, for these aren't 'hybrids'. My purples appeared after rains.

    Oh, thank you so much! Definitely been watering by hand and saving up fertilizer. I forgot about planting them with a golden shovel, I am going to do that right now.
