I think Competitive Smash kinda ruined the fun of Smash Bros. You can't just pick any character you want to be, like Sakurai intended, you have to go by the TIERS by most people. Or you'll be called a ch-SPAGHETTI-ter.

    You can but most likely you wont be taken seriously. Esam pulled Samus out in tournament a little while ago and they thought he'd lose cause he was fighting a top tier (Luigi) and If I remember correctly it was *clears throat* DESTRUCTIOOOOOON

    People dont get upset if its not a "gimmicky" low tier. Most people would commemorate a Zelda, Doc, Ganon, or DK But would get salty at Robin, Duck Hant doge, or Pac-Man because of the "gimmicks"
