    They can hurt for anywhere from a day to maybe a week, but the pain fades each day and you get used to it. It really isn't that bad. Just eat softer foods for a few days and you'll be fine. And it doesn't hurt when they put them on. It might just feel a little weird having metal in your mouth at first.

    I got braces a couple months ago. They aren't that bad. It'll be sore for about a week when it's put in. It's better to start eating soft foods during that week. I ate Ramen and Mac and Cheese then. Lol. Anyways, It's better if you take Ibuprofen, if you have it, before you get your braces put in, just in case. That's all I can think of that will help. Don't worry too much! :)
