  • Don't get me wrong, I want some for myself. I only want fighters I like to use in game. I just don't see the point in collecting them all.

  • Best Answer: Why are Pokemon so popular? Now multiply it by using it in almost every new game.

  • Hard to explain... get one, and you'll see ;) i didn't think amiibo's where that awesome at the start, and now i have 10 amiibo's! they are stronger than regular lv.9 cpu, they learn from what you do, and lots more!! they are like your 10 year old little-brother who haven't played smash, but beats you after some hours, and/or joins your team for extra op!! plus the amiibo's are greatly designed!

  • I guess the pokemon argument makes sense, but amiibo to me seems like a collectable that can tie into the game. Pokemon collecting is the basis of the game. If you don't collect lots of pokemon you will have a terribly hard time beating the game.

  • Sure amiibo learn from how you play, but so do players online, and in person. Plus one of my best friends has 10-15 of them and they do look cool, I'll give you that.

  • Thats another thing, everyone else wanting them. Because everyone wants them they will be very hard to find. Some like Rosalina & Luma, Marth, and Ness are nearly impossible to get and I don't like that. There always should be enough for everyone who wants one to get one. I know supply & demand is a thing and it takes time and energy to make one, but probably not a lot since they are less than $15
