    I can't speak for Melee's classic mode, but I can certainly say that Wii U had the worst classic mode.

    Brawl's was pretty much the same as 64's, linear path with the same things happening on specific rounds, just without the minigames that still need to return. Wii U's is just annoying, it can force you into 8-player Smash and that happens more on higher difficulties, that's caused many failed attempts. And the Mii round is infuriating, instead of three, you have to worry about five.
