yesh. miiverse was supposed to be a place where we could chat about games. sure the YT community is basically anything goes but the other forums are to discuss games.

Miiverse is rushed, not well made at all and Nintendo doesn't care. They still haven't told us why we can't send private messages to friends on browser or even send or accept friend requests.

There are two types of communities. On-topic communities (like Smash) and off-topic communities(like Wii Fit U). The on-topic communities are exactly as Nintendo wanted them to be. They could have let the off-topic communities have their idea of fun, instead they want to stamp out the off-topic communities. It's restricting freedom and that's NOT okay.

They're trying to make miiverse for what it is intended for, while I don't think they should do that I can see why.

looking at the com itself. and lucas made valid points without bias or contradicting himself. all he's saying is that the updates are bad and people should be able to talk about whatever they want as long as it follows the CoC. I feel that you won't win this argument.

I think you missed my point. Miiverse's main purpose is what Gamefaqs and literally anyone with a search engine can do ( not to say Nintendo hasn't done nice work with Miiverse). So long as that is proposed as the reason behind the redesign without actually addressing the real issues like #MAD, I think people reasonably concerned over what like a hamfisted response.

This is true, however Nintendo didn't design the communities very properly, i think there should just have been a general community. Of course things like #MAD are definetly using it wrong.

Well when a lot of aspects of a social media site (we probably won't even be able to call it that after the update) are removed. Yeah, I think people are going to be pretty ticked off.

Jesus Christ, this is pathetic. Look, WFC's history is a clear example of Miiverse being used... differently than intended. However, Miiverse is ultimately a social media service, and people are going to make niche groups to socialize. It's something you have to expect. Instituting such a drastic change just to get to the actual bad eggs is an unreasonably limiting action.

An opinion cannot be wrong but it can be unpopular. Unpopular opinions can sometimes be met with disagreement. It's my opinion that the update was not a good idea. It limits freedom and "Nintendo had an image for Miiverse" isn't a good argument.

I hope you aren't implying majority of Miiverse users make off topic posts on the Wii Fit U Community. This is just unjustified and not worth Nintendo's time. We all make on topic posts on other communities at the same time anyways.

Is it being ruined though? Can you honestly say that The Bard is enough of a threat to Nintendo? That out of several dozen game and app communities, their feeds are riddled with abuse and child scaring material? This is where Nintendo instigates a better moderation team, not hack off service.
