R.I.P miiverse What's pm ?

lol... since you can download wiifit for free, most of the wii fit community posters actually have the game XD so that wouldnt work unfortunately. If this really leads to downsides, it looks like we're all paying the price for what the trolls have done...

Sometimes I wonder why some people are so dramatic whenever Miiverse receives changes. I've seen my fair share of stupid posts, especially since they can be heavily responsible for alienating the communities.

I agree anything should go for Youtube, art communities, and communities like that, as long as it's kept within the rules. Ironically enough, the worst communities are actually for the Smash support communities... all of them. I wonder how the changes will help there.

Don't understand why Nintendo want to ruin one of the best thinkgs that they made for WiiU... i really have amazing moments here in Miiverse, and i will try to still enjoying... but man, that updates aren't helping... ú_ù

@inochi: The Smash Bros. community also gets some stupid posts as well. What is it with the people who like to make those senseless Donkey Kong and Sonic posts anyway?!

I think it's mostly immature kids and trolls who make the bad Smash posts. They think they're being funny... BTW, I remember people being upset about the activity feed change that made it so that only the latest post from your followed ppl is shown. Anyone still upset about this change? It didn't bother me. I just click the "show more" arrow next to those posts to see if I missed anything.

I hope the miiverse update isn't as bleak as many people are expecting it to be.

I'm not a social person. I'm not on the "popular" social networking sites, so it's ease of use is one reason why I loved Miiverse. Now because of the Smashers, they've had to change everything for everybody else. Talk about blaming the group for things the individual has done. The sooner Nintendo goes under the better. I've had just about enough.

It's interesting you said that NIN becus I have been hearing that the new Street Fighter game will have bigger more inclusive community to with the gameplay. Another reason to save up for that PS4 :)

@inochi: It's the presence of those posters that can really leave a bad taste for the other Miiverse users. Being limited to only a combined total of 30 posts/comments per day may seem excessive, but it's supposed to be a way to try to reduce the amount of senseless postings that tend to pop up.

Yup free updates and the matching for battles will be more inclusive. I don't know that it will have a community like miiverse but it would be fun if it did. Love that game and 5 looks amazing!

Ok, I read what the update said and personally I'm still optimistic. I don't think it's actually gonna fix the problems they want to fix nor ruin the things ppl think it's gonna ruin, it's just gonna seem more organized. Not even an age gate for certain communities would help much because even the youngest users post offensive stuff. I just dont like that you can't post to activity feed anymore.

I still don't get why Erika's post is considered insulting. I've seen the reasons for why those changes are being made.

Nothing they can do will stop trolls from ruining communities, unfortunately. No place on the internet is safe from people who have a false sense of anonymity (as if it's an invisibility cloak) and want to spread mischief. It looks like they think this will just slow things down for them to moderate more easily, but I doubt it.

Posting on activity feeds was a way for all different reigns to post screen shots together etc.

(sorry, this is OT, but it's too bad I stopped liking Street Fighter the moment SF4's first screenshots were shown, and SF5 looks like it's the same but with more enhanced graphics... and I was a huge fan of every SF from SF2 to SF3TS, too... *sigh*)

Tbh tho, long off topic personal chats can be done in other places outside of miiverse, can't they? If you meet ppl you want to chat with on miiverse, isn't it possible to ask them to chat with you somewhere else? What about friend PMs?

I really hope that they don't take out the miiverse message system from the Wii U users in the future... then miiverse will be useless.. people will lose even more friends...

You just spoke my mind here. I've never been more sickened or appalled by anything else in my entire life. They should know that we as human beings have social needs, and we deserve to speak our hearts and minds without any restraint or restriction.

This is just ridiculous. It seems like every few weeks they do something to make miiverse worse. Last time I checked miiverse was a social network. Apparently we're socializing too much now.

oh man these posts are making me more sad... the reaction can't be described, we will all miss the old miiverse. Guess the miiverse-directors didn't expect that people will create a community with love and friendships ♡ T__T

I have to check, but I think nintendo has actually never called miiverse a social network. When they first announced it they actually tried to talk about it in a way that distanced itself from stuff like facebook. But inevitably, ppl saw it as a social network anyways rather than a gaming supplement.

Ironically, the easiest way to fix Nintendo's problem might be to just allow ppl to share information about other ways to contact eachother.... but the funny thing is, they don't allow that because it leads to an entirely different problem they're trying to prevent (internet predators).

Oh, and I think gamng media is partially to blame for referring to miiverse as "Nintendo's social media" all of the time...

Certain aspects of this redesign are a bit silly and contradictory, like adding discussion sections while making the posting limit more strict so there'll actually be less discussions per-day. I don't really mind posting to our profile being cut down to 30 a day, but comments shouldn't be included in that daily total.

Well, worse-case scenario, I just buy Comic Workshop 2 or something to make my comics. More panels, and apparently in-game posts don't count in the limit.

I'm sure we'll find a way to bypass the nonsense to still have fun discussing with gamers on other subjects than immediate help we need in a game. (which, tbh, is pretty useless on miiverse. I just go on the broader and faster to help, www) Jukebox contest might suffer a bit from this because of the activity feed post being cut, but I'm sure we can still save it. Any other user made contest too

I'd say it's always been prickly, actually, lol. One of the biggest problems has been inconsistent moderating, and I don't see thay changing much in the future... >_<

So here's an idea....let us keep our activity feeds or that LONG overdue promise of private communities So sorry for all the free advertising Nintendo, lol...would you prefer I stay off miiverse. odds are we have sold way more of your games for you than your weak advertisement efforts

In general, It's funny how nintendo and miiverse made me feel like a grounded kid rather than a paying customer lol...... I guess the service is free at least..
