I got Battletoads NES for my birthday and I just beat Karnath's Lair. I think it's hard, but not that bad. I can do Turbo Tunnel with maybe one death, so I think the hype may be the biggest enemy.

    Cool! I love playing Battletoads! I still have my NES copy! The game is hard but it's one of those games I come back to. It's also gonna be one of the games on the Rare Replay Xbox One release as well. So is the arcade Battletoads game and 28 others like RC PRO-AM 1 & 2, Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Snake Rattle 'N' Roll (NES), KI Gold, etc. Can't wait!!!

    Yeah, Happy Birthday! So you didn't have it to play growing up? I have some great memories of playing the 2-player, and it was so hard to resist beating on each other! I still have mine too, along with the NES version of Battletoads & Double Dragon and Battlemaniacs for the SNES.

    @Silverdome I think that really sucks that Rare even has the right legally to release their Nintendo-exclusive titles on a non-Nintendo system. Nintendo should be able to sue them for emulating their hardware.

    Oh I see. I was born the same week that the NES was released in the US. All the kids my age learned the word Nintendo long before they knew "video games" and more than half of the kids in my school had one at home.

    I agree while it's cool to see the games released, it sucks it's not for Nintendo hardware. These games were Nintendo's NES & 64 history, not Microsoft's. I think Nintendo should sue or at least make A deal to release them on their VC platform as well.

    Yeah, Bad Fur Day was one of the very few N64 games I got the day it was released! I'd been reading about it in Nintendo Power for years...
