From an artist's standpoint, contractions must be a lifesaver. Say you're writing the lyrics to go with a tune, but you're one syllable too many. And suddenly, the English language grants you a contraction, and now you can now get the meaning of two words in the form of one. Language is awesome.

    It is. The English language is very artistic in the sense that it's flexible. The only problem people have of it as I see it is the hundreds of technicalities and exceptions to rules.
