    The three punch buttons are, shown from light to hard: Y, X, L. The three kick buttons are, shown from light to hard: B, A, R. Jump with the joystick or d-pad by tapping it up, crouch with down, and walk left or right.

    Here's how to use the Hadoken, Ryu's fireball move: down, down-forward, forward then punch. This must be done pretty quickly to get it right. Depending on the punch button used, it will fly at different speeds.

    The Tatsumaki Senpukyaku is the tornado kick move. Here's how it is done: down, down-backward, backward then kick. The joystick movement is almost the same as the Hadoken movement. What do they have in common? They are QUARTER CIRCLES. This means you take a quarter, or ¼, of a circle.

    Now for the dragon punch, or the Shoryuken, the joystick movement is a bit tricky. It takes time to master. You do forward, down, down-forward then punch. This movement looks like the letter Z.
