When you think about it the body really IS in its grave forever. Isn't it amazing how after we die, people miss us yet when in truth, we're right there in the grave, still in our clothing yet merely reduced to skeletons? We can still be touched, held, kissed... The only difference is there's no consciousness or flesh... But it's still us nonetheless... A morbid, yet very true fact...

    That's because people grieve for the loss of consciousness as the person they knew. Not necessarily that but more of an image in their mind gone. The body is unfortunately just the part of that image that remains after death.

    I think the fact that you are there, staring at the person's grave, knowing that you won't talk to them, remembering his laughs, the good moments together, the ''unreachability'' of those moments, but the standing fact that they ARE there, but JUST physically makes it harder to stand. I, as a Christian, believe you'll see them again, but still...
