    ok 7th grade can be the worst year for people (like me for example) but if you keep your chin up and keep up with your work (literally do or else you nearly end up failing) then it won't be so bad. Your happiness can literally crumble around you but just pick up the pieces and even if it takes forever to rebuild just know you'll always have someone to lean on.

    ahh i can't say any advice about detention (never been) but when you fail a test 90% of the time they let you retake it.

    also keep an eye out for your friends 7th grade is when you do stupid stuff. make sure they're ok just make them feel loved (literally almost lost a friend because of suicide.) JUST please take care of your friends and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
