Ok. The Update. We CAN still stop it. Spread the word. Post 'Stop the Update!' or something similar in as many communities as you can. Even if we get banned for this, i'm still more than willing. Also, show your support by Yeah!ing an many supportive comments/posts as you can. ESPECIALLY in the comments of the official posts by 'Tom' and other Nintendo 'representatives', since they're more likely

  • to be seen there. In fact, FILL that comment section with our opinion NOW. Also, i'm saying maybe because I highly doubt that 'Tom' or half those people even exist.

  • Also, remember that even if the Update goes live, there's still hope. The biggest rule we have to change is the comment cap. We can still convince them to revert the Update if we're vocal enough. Now, I consider our first two options better, but we can also protest by leaving. Convince as many people as possible to leave Miiverse until they revoke the chaRemember; Dark times always come to an end.

  • In case you're not aware, the update is this Wednesday, and will invoke a '30 posts/comments per day limit' rule, the biggest reason for its general hate, and will prevent you from posting on your Activity Feed, the second biggest reason for its general hate. Posts like this will be gone.

    Yeahs1
  • The "30 Rule" will take the 'social' away from 'social media'. People will be unable to have conversations with other people, meaning meeting new people, one of the best things about sovial media sites, will be next to impossible AND undesirable, as you'll want to save your 30 posts for your friends, and more friends means less posts to share with everyone. Nintendo's reasoning for this is to keep

    Yeahs2
  • Miiverse "on-topic", but it's only limiting the enjoyability for them, too, as I would still rather save my precious 30 posts for helping my friends than that random stranger beat Level 7, and i'm sure most people share the same point of view. Better solutions?

    Yeahs2
  • The best one I can think of is what Miiverse has always needed: BETTER ADMINS. If 'on-topic' is so important to Nintendo, then GET PEOPLE TO REMOVE THEM IF THEY VIOLATE YOUR RULES. I HAVE reported posts for being off-topic before, (ok just this one jerk) and they always get deemed "Not in Violation". This one should of been done 2 years ago.

uh Alex I think "Tom" said all posts will still be viewable but you just can no longer post in the activity for example Nintendo E3 communities they are gone but you can still see the posts but honestly it probably won't change only 5 days remained and it took them LONG ENOUGH TO EVEN SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE REDESIGN plus I think about 90% of the non-Nintendo employees already dislike the update

But however maybe in an update AFTER the redesign will increase the posting and commenting limit to 60 or 64 (for fun) unlikely but still possible if people are still complaining and if they see the error in their ways but in the mean time BEGIN THE PROTEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSTSSSSSSSS

    Yeahs1
  • Really, I think our goal should be to work towards the update after the redesign. But I think 'Stop the Update' still gets our point across. Also, I might not be able to play MK8 today, but i'll try.

    Yeahs1
