As mentioned in the Nintendo TVii community's version of this post, I don't even care. Why? Because I don't use Nintendo TVii that much (And it's been useless all this time). I guess it's because there's already stuff like Netflix...

Not to be a jerk, but do you have to make such a big deal out of every little thing? Iwata's death is a big deal I know that. It's just "Seriously, it's not a big deal that Nintendo TVII will end forever." Why is it ending?

No one ever used it. Not surprised that this happened. Now can we get a system update that gives us notifications and message friends without the use of miiverse please. This is why not many people are buying the wii u. You don't listen to your fans, and don't support your system with simple features.
07/24/2015 7:44 PM ·Spoilers
@NintendoSarah Does this mean that future Wii Us will not include the TV Control button?
07/24/2015 7:45 PM ·Spoilers
Aw, man. I never even knew what Nintendo TVii was for, and now they're ending the service. Why would they be ending it?
07/24/2015 7:45 PM ·Spoilers
I guess Nintendo should remove TVii from the features on the side of the box. I never quite used it, though...
07/24/2015 7:46 PM ·Spoilers
Sadly, I don't think it was used very much when there weren't any special events.
07/24/2015 7:46 PM ·Spoilers
To be quite honest, I did not use the TVii Service much myself. I mostly use the Wii U's Guide button to pop up my own Cable Box's guide. The overall service being discontinued won't affect that in the least. I will say it was fun while it lasted tho.

i wanna say something ironic right about now, but i got nothin'
07/24/2015 7:56 PM ·Spoilers
@Tyler Probably not. As you may not know, the TV button was implemented to be able to make the Wii U gamepad be a TV Remote as well as a Wii U controller.

I only tried to use this app during during 2014 & 2015 SuperBowl... I say TRIED because it lagged so bad it was unenjoyable... although it would have been awesome if executed properly.
07/24/2015 8:04 PM ·Spoilers
I think they're keeping the TV remote option, but it will only be for regular TVs.
07/24/2015 8:04 PM ·Spoilers
there was no use for it anyways.u can just use ure tv at home.simple as 123

We NEED TVii. It is very useful when you want to know what is on TV. You can see info for that show top. Please Nintendo, do not shut down TVii. If you just made it faster more people would use it!
07/24/2015 8:07 PM ·Spoilers
i thought you could watch videos on it but you cant even my brother thought it its a scam though thank nintendo for removing
07/24/2015 8:10 PM ·Spoilers
Ok, first of all, why is Nintendo ending all these services lately, as if they were going to end the buisness? It makes no sense. You know what Nintendo? Even though I respect you and I am a big fan, I consider that you hire more people willing to work to keep services like TVii alive, because if you just end these services without thinking about the many people that like them, you'll lose money!

finally. at first nintendo tvii was awesome, but after some update, it only showed movies and tv shows that either were on 10 hours ago, or that are on in 10 hours. completely useless.
07/24/2015 8:20 PM ·Spoilers
it sucked u could just go to the channels website to see whats on or turn your tv on to see whats

Nintendo is falling apart. First Mr. Iwata, then TVii. What's next? Miiverse? Updates? If this keeps up then Nintendo will not just fall apart it will end. My children will never play Mario. Poke'mon will be a long lost fantasy. Ledgen of Zelda will dissapear. Nintendo shape up! You have brought joy to millions of people. Think about your fans. If keep this up Nintendo will soon not exist.
07/24/2015 8:28 PM ·Spoilers
OK but... I hope you guys don't give up everything that easily. Keep going! That's what Satoru always wanted from this company, to NEVER give up!

COME ON NINTENDO! Before I continue I just want to say that I am a big fan and mean no harm to the company and/or staff. BUT REALLY?!? FIRST NINTENDO VIDEO AND NOW NINTENDO TVii???!!! WHATS NEXT?!? THE ENTIRE COMPANY!?!?
07/24/2015 8:33 PM ·Spoilers
I really wanted to like TVii, but the channels weren't completely accurate for me (DirecTV, some swapped channels) and every time I tried to tune in for a big event the service became painfully slow to the point of being nearly impossible to use, frequently going down and sometimes even losing contest progress data. I'm sad to see it go but I would honestly have done the same long before now.
07/24/2015 8:34 PM ·Spoilers
Not many people even used this but it is sad to see a feature go..
07/24/2015 8:37 PM ·Spoilers

Pokemon is actually thriving though.. Pokken seems to be coming to the U.S too. Pokemon BW out sold call of duty few years ago...
07/24/2015 8:52 PM ·Spoilers
Clearly, Nintendo didn't do a good job of demonstrating how to use TVii, considering how many people here think it was a way to watch TV ("DirecTV had it beat," one said -- huh? DirecTV has scene commentary, in-program polls, etc.? That's what TVii was). It was fun using TVii during the World Series (I got top score two days in a row!) but we rarely watch live TV, so most times couldn't use TVii.

This only tells me that nintendo is going to launch nx within the next two years and never got the chance to use this service.
07/24/2015 8:56 PM ·Spoilers
Took you long enough to get rid of it. It was just eating up space on the dashboard. No one used it, and it was impractical compared to Hulu Plus and Netflix.
07/24/2015 8:57 PM ·Spoilers
I personally don't care about Nintendo TVii going away. It never worked the way it was advertised! All it was was a glorified remote with inaccurate channel listings! If you could've watched tv on the GamePad (as was advertised before its lauch), it would be an even bigger mistake removing it! I never used it because it was so frustrating TO use! So, good riddance to a useless & bad app!
