I just ordered from the most reasonably priced Japanese seller on the Amazon marketplace. In this case, the seller's name was HIT Tokyo. Highly recommended!

I actually decided to go ahead and get imports of Ganondorf and ZSS. I figured why wait another month when I could just go ahead and get 'em. Plus I may get American versions later when they do launch just to keep sealed. Glad you got your other Palutena!

Palutena is amazing. Easily one of the best-looking and most detailed amiibo yet! If I could import any of the other upcoming figures for $20 or less, I might do it, but I think I'll wait to see how things shake out next month. I absolutely know that Ganon won't be rare, because the Zelda figures never are. There will probably be ample stock on all the other ones on day one, too... barring any

Speaking of which, I still find to find a reasonably priced Robin and Lucina! I know I'll be importing a Japanese ROB, because I love his red Famicom color scheme. Yeah, she's already one of my favorite amiibo! I dunno about Ganondorf not being rare though...there are very few solid trends among amiibo except that the Fire Emblem ones always always seem to go rare.

Largely true, but to date, I've observed that characters from the Mario and Zelda series have always been in more than plentiful supply (with the exception of Rosalina, who was one of those obnoxious exclusives). And Ganon is a huge character. I'm positive he'll be easy to get. But, we shall soon find out!

Sweet! I watched IGN's unboxings of the Wave 5 amiibo from Japan, and I've got to say, the upcoming figures are really fantastic. My only disappointment was that huge gray leg cast that holds up Zero Suit Samus and obscures half of the back of the figure. It's even nastier than Link's golden pee stand. Nintendo really needs to give these figures poses that are self-supporting.

Well I can agree about self supporting figure poses, but the reason for the stands is that, apparently, the poses have to match those of the in-game trophies. That's why some of them aren't self supporting.

I know. I just think that should've been considered by Nintendo for the in-game trophy poses, if they knew they were going to be making physical figures out of these things. Oh well, though... they're still awesome! On another note, if anyone was unable to make it to GameStop on Saturday to pre-order a retro 3-pack, it's just been listed on their website!
