@Gio:Did you not read Miiverse's description?It says it's a community for GAMERS to come together.Nintendo intended to create a gaming community,not a junior Facebook.If socializing is what you want,other social media is the way to go.I also don't see what Anime,Steven Universe amd FN@F fanart has to do with “socializing”

I'm with Gio on ALL of this! What was the first thing I was told when I joined Miiverse? That it was a place to have fun and make friends. Not a place for me to become an ignorant and self-centred individual.

@Ben Yes, again, I understand that, but Nintendo messed up by giving us the tools we need to evolve this into just that. They gave us the option to follow, draw, comment, and yeah posts, the way we do on other social medias. I don't own one, but I'm pretty sure you can't follow someone who helped you get past the 3rd level in GameFAQs. They messed up, and they can't accept that. >.>

huh..........support this update you say? well..................I have friends i like to talk to and drawings to post, with lots of requests I always have to respond back and that doesn't work if I wanted to talk to them, clearly you don't understand what some of us have to go through to keep people happy with what we do and this update is just pointless and very upsetting thing

@Everyone on Gio's side:Miiverse is also a place for spreading gaming tips for those who need them,and fanart has nothing to do with this network...That is,unless Nintendo buys out Scott Cawthon's work,Cartoon Network,and various Anime producers.This is a gamer's network that Nintendo made for more advanced gamers to give less experienced gamers advice,not random garbage for whatever's fadding.

What if people want to make Miiverse a place to talk to friends? I don't see an issue with that. I mean, yes, we can post stuff about gaming related topics or snapshots, but variety will make it so Miiverse isn't always about one thing in a community. Look at the Wii Fit U community or the YT community. You'll most likely see people wanting to communicate to each other.

I see you clearly have no idea how bad this redesign is. Even though Gio is making valid argurments and pointing it all out.

@Ben, just for tips? THAT'S WHAT GOOGLE'S FOR! Fanart is actually something that Miiverse was designed for. So, yeah. You can forget that argument.

You guys do realize that every single game has it's own community that seems to be workly properly. There are never any off topic posts in ANY community other than the YTC and the WFC. So there is nothing stopping you from going to that individual community and asking for help there.

I totally agree with Gio here. But you see, the thing that bothers me most is that we have communities for discussions only, but what's the point of that if we only have 30 comments per day? What if we want to have multiple discussions in one day? We can't, thanks to the update.

If you want to talk with a friend,isn't that what cell phones are for?If anything,that way is more efficient to keep a conversation running,and texting is basically the same thing as chatting on Miiverse,and texting is designed for extended conversation,and Miiverse is designed for gaming tips and strategies,and you can still talk and all that even with a post limit.

Most of my posts for the past few days have been about the redesign and my eagerness for for it to come,but in all honesty? I don't want it. I made those posts because I know there's nothing we can do to prevent it,because truthfully,I'm witn Gio on all accounts. I've been doing the same RP with a friend for the past week with 90+ between leaving and it's super fun.

Should I post that ASCII? I'm really tempted to now...

Zoo, you're smart. You need to understand that Miiverse isn't a place where you go like: 'Uh, hey, followers. Tell me what to do on this part. I'm stuck.' It's also a place for Nintendo fans to come together.

And I've been on Miiverse for 2 and a half years. Things have changed for me since 2 1/2 years ago. I met new friends by making series that people enjoy, I like to have fun with people, I support others. "That's what other media is for." Pfft... Sure... Every media site is like this. Can't people have fun? Can they do what they like?

It's not even just the comment limit. It gives popular users an advantage that is COMPLETELY unfair. There are other people who work hard on their art too. They deserve a chance. Plus no matter what punch you throw, everyone else will counter it. You have lost this battle, kid.

Also, another thing that bothers me is the fact that drawings will be listed by popularity. All that does is make the popular users more popular and leaves everyone else as undiscovered underdogs. That doesn't seem very fair to me.

Look at the yeahs Gio's comments have compared to yours. Who won the argument?

Ahem, I bring to notice one of you previous comments on this post, you said that people should use Instagram and other social medias instead of Miiverse, and here is a valid counter argument. Many people do not have computers or phones, so the only social media they would have access to is Miiverse, and it is unfair to strip them of this haven and leave them without a place to communicate and find

how ironic since miiverse itself is about to become irrelevant and annoying 30 comments/post = brief exchange and 0 actual conversations.

People with similar interests, the real world is tough and finding people with similar tastes is much more difficult than in the online world, and as said, stripping them of this right would leave them deflated, and temporarily hopeless, because they're access to their valued friends has been limited, this also greatly affects roleplayers, Miiverse is one of the only places with casual roleplays

I agree with Gio here :^) Although this was meant to be a gaming website, Nintendo gave us the ability to draw, comment, and yeah posts. It's like it's own little social media. Most of us have made incredible bonds, that way. The update will destroy any chances of making new friends. Once the update hits, all you'll see is, "LOOK AT THIS GAME YOU DONT HAVE!" It'll fill us with envy .w.

I have 2600+ followers and about half my FL is full. I think I would like to socialize with as much of them as possible. I comment on my friend's posts a lot, I reply to comments on my posts a lot, etc. With only being able to comment 30 times a day, it's not really considered a "social" media site. "The update is a good thing." To whom? Users like myself? *laughs*

@Wirt, please don't do that. And, Zoo, how can we trust you when you haven't given us any reason to. Socialization will no longer exist on Miiverse, due to the limit. Aspiring artists will never be recognized. That's the update in a nutshell.

Okay, you see here you talk about irrelevancy. But what if their was relevant posts about games huh? One does not simply have a discussion about a game in a span of 30 comments! And you quote "You have tomorrow" & "you can still socialize". Do you seriously think we will have an interest the next day to bring back up the gaming conversation for roughly 20 minutes then wait the next day? No!

You know, I don't think Nintendo would have had to initiate a 2 min rule or a 30 comment limit if the admins actually did their job. Zoo, I totally agree with you on the fact that some posts here are irrelevant and unnecessary, but that's no excuse for a 30 comment limit. Admins needs to get a hold of themselves and actually take care of the problem instead of putting it off and making it worse.
