I wouldn't say the update is good or bad yet. Certain users can legitimately be upset depending on how they used miiverse but I think some ppl are overreacting a bit when they say things like "RIP miiverse". Do ppl seriously think no one will use miiverse anymore when games like Mario Maker are coming? Miiverse has had problems. I'm glad to see Nintendo trying to fix it. Will it work? Let's see..

@zoobaby10 Many people will leave yes, but the people with courage such as I, can handle change, they can adapt, they will adapt to this update, but they will still dislike it. Miiverse currently is near perfection, adding this update, would take us farther away from that perfection, limiting the freedom of speech is what the update does, now that is not perfection

I see a lot of people say "Nintendo doesn't want us making friends or socializing anymore", but when did they say that? Just cuz Tom/Erika posted about "long conversations" being ONE OF the reasons? They still allow friending, they still allow posting... they want socializing to happen strictly related to games, that's all. Not socializing relating to meeting your soulmate.

I only came on miiverse for free cake,BUT THEY SAID "You cant go back!" SO NOW IM HERE! And then Gio posted,something about this post,so i be like:"This argument better be awesome!" And then i saw this post and i looked at "Support Admins" So i facepalmed and now i am just sitting here!

Will some ppl leave? Sure, though probably less than the (large) minority who are saying they will. Though I sympathise with fellow artists and people who discuss about apps (for whom I hope the update turns out not as bad as they think), I honestly wouldn't be too upset if the exodus included ppl who ruined communities for Wii Fit U and Smash. But I doubt the update will really stop the trolls.

BTW,I too emailed Nintendo.I told them thank you for this redesign.It will be nice not seeing all this dating and rp's going on. Off-topic posts are spam that puts stress on a server.Plus makes more work for moderators.The 30 limit will help with this.
