    Apparently, Inklings are both Kids and Squids. you see, human scientist chose a squid (don't know why. out of all the animal and mammals that are out there, they chose a squid.) and injected human DNA into the squid thinking in theory that the squid's brain would have the intelligence off a human brain.     ...new species an Inkling. Human scientist tried this experiment again one another squid to see if the same thing would happen. The first squid transformed into a human girl, while the second squid transformed into a human boy. Futher research shows that when inklings have children, the child is born in a form of a squid, then at the age of fourteen, they turn into the form of a human.
