Why the ranking system could be better: Nintendo said that rank helps group players of the same skill in lobbies, right? The thing is, your rank is determined by how often you win, not by how you play. So if you rank down, you are grouped with "players of the same skill," so you should still be with the A- and A's after ranking down, not with B's and lower. They're basically saying you got worse.

    Also just because someone ranks down doesn't mean their skill got worse. ESPECIALLY when they are an active player. If anything they are getting better
