Just wrapped up Day 3 of the 10 Day Challenge. I only collected 10 fruits instead of 11, but I had SO MANY stray Pikmin I was running out of breath! Not the best day, apparently. However, I did get the Rock Pikmin to 100.

    I know...it's just that there's still improvements for Day 3. The best you can do is get 12 fruits, which is all but the Shaggy Long Legs fruit and the 3 that you need Winged and Blue Pikmin for. My record is 11. I almost got 12 one time but the Cannon Beetle messed me up completely by firing a snowball at ALL of my Pikmin, forcing me to give up on the Zest Bomb for now. (I usually get it fine...)

    Oh! By the way, I tested the Formidable Oak glitches again. (you know, ghost captain and Oak backwards) I found a way to get Olimar out of the cave without even triggering Mysterious Life Form! The final fight began as usual. However, it isn't helpful because it takes 2 days. Darn!

    Its ok, just reply tomorrow. I have 18 left so don't worry. It takes two days because you have to create a path through the oak, (backwards) do the clip twice to reach Olimar, (first time a cutscene triggers, and second time you can carry him) and get out of the oak. I have never been able to do it all in one day...it takes longer than it should.

    Btw NEVER go inside the oak the normal way. Glitching in the back way will let you reach Olimar without triggering Mysterious Life Form and thus carry him back. There are no weird side effects, and Plasm Wraith appears when you get Olimar out.

    I still wanna know how to do it. I can do the Oak in one day glitchless, but I hate that cave. I wish the cutscene where Brittany runs into the cave didn't occur. Then I could just have 5 or more winged pikmin carry Olimar up after I use the geyser. Then I could just leave the wraith waiting for an ambush moment that would never come.

    Brittany still goes into the cave, but you go around and use a clipping glitch to get inside. Then you meet up with Brittany and carry Olimar. Problem is, that causes ANOTHER cutscene that warps you to the tower again. Go around again and this time you can carry Olimar out. But I create a path through the oak on the first day so I have time to glitch on the next. It takes SOOOO long!!!

    What about the glitch I've seen online where you take a leader through the Oak backwards by getting him/her up on the ledge to go into the Oak from the arena. In the video the guy did complete the whole Oak in one day, but he was pursued while getting Olimar out and he used 20 of each pikmin type to battle the Wraith. He went backwards through and then forward.

    This is a different glitch. Someone else found a clip (think early Winged Pikmin type glitches) that spawns you inside the oak. It's not easy, but it's much easier than the old way.

    Oh btw I'm about at the end of my 10 Day Run, so I'll experiment some more with the ghost captain. But maybe if I try doing something similar to the no chase glitch, i.e carrying Olimar after the third cycle to see if I can use Pikmin. Maybe I'll also try activating Mysterious Life Form...maybe autopilot Brittany into the cave right before I defeat the captain to have both things happen?

    With the glitch I was talking about, try this: go through the oak backwards, then defeat the wraith at the top of the oak. Instead of going back in the cave to get to Brittany, head back around and use the glitch again to get into the oak's back entrance. Then 1: get Olimar out; or 2: when Olimar is almost at the end, use a leader (not Brittany) to go through the normal entrance (cont.)

    Better yet...go in normally AFTER the Plasm Wraith has spawned. I don't know if the scene will still trigger, but it would be awesome if it did...

    Wouldn't it be awesome if you had control of the leaders instead of watching that stupid cutscene where they just stand there like idiots as the wraith comes out?

    I managed to pull off step 3. During the cutscene, the Wraith does not appear because it's already in the arena.
