    I think it was more of "time constraints" and prioritizing on Dr. Mario, Lucina, and Dark Pit that stopped the Rock Pikmin from happening in the final version of this game. They once made Alph a full-fledged character similar to Olimar, but they didn't finish him on time and had to cut him loose.

    Someone said the same thing. Said the Winged Pikmin could home in on enemies when thrown. I really would have liked to meteor smash people with the Rock Pikmin.
