This guy was really tough, considering that I didn't use Marcus and everyone else isn't promoted. Thankfully, the last use of Wolf Beil put him in his place.

You should have used Marcus on this guy, though. That EXP would have gone to some good use.

  • I didn't even bring Marcus tho. You mean this would be like the only time he gets more then like 5 exp? Eh, at least Hector appreciates the exp as well.

He gets more than 5 EXP every time he kills a boss. Especially if the boss is promoted. And in some cases, you might end up actually losing some EXP by having an unpromoted unit kill a boss, since the amount of EXP a unit can gain can't go over 100.

  • Well, at least I know now. Problem is, I haven;t been really using Marcus, and I don't promote until level 20, so I'll probs be loosing exp always. Ohyeah and I accepted the chapter 18 sidequest. The boss has bolting and is a sage. Already a bad idea.

This game's easy enough for a player to even get away with over-reliance on a specific unit. Especially since you eventually get around seven units who aren't slouches in combat around mid-to-late game. (Eight if you count the endgame.)

  • And then there's Seth in SS who, from what I've heard, can solo the whole game. Then again I'm in only in chapter 7 over there. Do you mean pre promoted units?

If the units in question are Hawkeye, Geitz, Pent, Louise, Harken, Vaida, Jaffar, and Athos, then yes. Being prepromoted, however, isn't necessarily a con. Since they tend to be usable right off the bat.

  • At least. Also, this is my last post, so unless I comment here with an alt, cia. Thanks for that help, btw.
