    its in town use the ingame map or the one at the library. the library map is a compleet map. the ingame map has black suares that mark screens you haven't been on yet. when you uncove that screen the mape tile fills in. idk what brings the map up on Vertual Consol. on the old Game Boy it was the select bution.
