    Splatfests happen when Nintendo makes them happen. 3 have already been done and the next one is next weekend. You choose a side, and then everyone competes to claim which side gets more Super Sea Snails.

    Get a high rank during a splatfest, you will be rewarded at the end with them. Or, at level 20 you can buy them from Spyke. (You basically just use coins instead of Super Snails)
