Man! Getting to the third part of the level in more than 14 turns is hard, but I used one of my complete weakest leaders to attack and no one else to attack. Now I'll use my Big Yellow Koopa Paratroopa to get in the pipe! No dark or light orbs!

For a good tip, the Yellow Koopa Paratroopa requires less turns to use its skill than the Big Yellow Koopa Paratroopa. Try using it to make Light Orbs instead, especially once you've leveled up its skill enough times.

You might have to learn to level up the skills of your party members as you progress even further into the game.
