    She was indeed. This map gives me some more hope that we'll eventually get to have apartments for our Inklings. Of course, the chance of us getting those was hinted at from the start with the Splatoon boot-up screen.

    You have a point there. I just like to think that the startup screen is just that way for immersion, as decorating your room would serve no actual in-game purpose, though. You can't get a swim speed upgrade from your feng shui. Still, I love the aesthetic and structure of this map. It has Ranked Battle written all over it. And... I wouldn't mind living in a cute complex like this.

    I still need to take a look at the map. I kind of wish you could enter a Private Battle by yourself, since Flounder Heights may not be in the rotation when I play next. For the apartments, it's not like this is the first time Nintendo has included (or would include) an utterly pointless room-decorating system. (Kirby's Epic Yarn is the first example that comes to mind.)

    You know a ton of people would go nuts and spend all of their cash on furniture, wallpaper, etc. Eventually, people would reach a point where they have to decide between a couch and a fresh new hat. The only problem I have is the inability to think of a sea creature pun for the furniture store's name and owner.

    Finally, as a suggestion for apartment functionality, maybe there could be a trophy case with trophies for any Splatfest wins as well as a screen detailing your online stats. Stuff like wins, losses, splats, total turf covered, times you were the MVP, highest point total in one Turf War match, and more. I've been dying to know things like that.

    Chris, you can press Y in the lobby for Recon mode, I believe. From there, you can access the stage as much as you want when it's on. Go crazy! You have a point about apartment expansion packs. Honestly though, I detest those life customization sims where you spend money on things that have no impact on gameplay, and I really doubt Splatoon would benefit from going the Neopets route.
