    You can't buy a slingshot for a couple weeks. Nintendo programmed the bug net & shovel to pop balloons until then. Stalk a balloon to the sea cliff & whack it with the net or puncture it with the shovel as it sinks within range. (Ask Isabelle for advice on living.) If you sink one or two a day, you may get a silver or gold slingshot before the wooden ones are sold.
