    I honestly don't think that a Pegasus Knight's mount becomes a Winged Unicorn (otherwise known as either a Pegacorn, a One-Horned Pegasus, or an Alicorn) when the knight himself/herself (since the class is no longer females only as of Fates) becomes a Falcon Knight. If anything, the horn may be a part of the Pegasus's armor, considering that metal plating surrounds the horn.

    I don't think it's ever explained what it is, but maybe it's a metal spike attached to the faceplate for attacking other mounts.
