THE BLUEPRINT OF SPLATOON A guide for how we can successfully form Splatoon teams. Details below: ↓↓↓ PLEASE REFRAIN FROM COMMENTING ON THIS POST! I will make a chat post 30 min after this post for further feedback and questions. Just consider this a very rough proposal for organizing the way we interact on Splatoon, so that we can have fun, make friends, and win more!

  • Hi my fellow Squids (or kids) haha. I am trying to organize a format for us to follow so that we can all organize teams. These are not limited teams. It does not have to mandatorily include me. This is just my way of making a hopefully successful template for things to consider when forming a team.

  • Before I start lets get some things out of the way: This is not for notifs so go away notif trolls. Also, please excuse my grammatical errors, but you should hopefully get the idea. Take everything I say in a tone that is nice and respectful. I'm just trying to help the community be able to play with their friends and have fun.

  • With that being said, Let's begin! The topics will include •Communication on Miiverse •Strategy (Divided into Two categories: The Lingo and The Roles) • Scheduling

  • Chapter 1: Communication on Miiverse So one of the most common flaws I see with teams is that people try to form quick teams that will most likely lead to failure due to picking random people without even knowing simple things about them. I will say that before you even consider starting a team you should at least get to know them and how they play.

  • This means figuring out what weapons they use,the specials they prefer, and the gear they equip. This helps show you if they're a fit for your team or if you need to consider someone else. Once you feel you that you have found a team that is suitable for covering each other's weaknesses you should make sure you friend each other. This way you guys can communicate easier and decide who's hosting.

  • Chapter 2: Strategy However before you even start battling you should have a basic strategy. And practice in private battle. This part needs to be edited and re worked but here is a start! Please feel to recommend ideas in the future chat post.

  • The Lingo One thing to understand is the Lingo of Splatoon with Booyahs and C'mons being the main forms of communication.

  • You should use Booyahs when: •You've killed someone • You're telling people it's clear to advance forward • Someone avenged you when you were killed. • We are winning and it's the last 30 seconds of battle •We won the previous game and want to celebrate that the first few seconds of the next game • Somebody saved your butt

  • You should use C'mons when: •You need help • You see a clear path that no one is going towards • You need everyone to go to Miiverse (this should be used if you need to leave or speak about strategy and should be at the beginning of the battle and be said 5 times which follows you leaving the next game. • Someone is killing you repeatedly.

  • The Roles (The Restorer, The Infiltrator, The Wall, and The Facilitator) Knowing you role in a team is very important or otherwise you aren't on the same page. These Roles that I came up with are based on a VERY successful team that I had when I was in the first Splatfest. I want to use this as the outline or starter per say how we should behave when in game.

  • However we would probably need to convert this into a ranked mentality instead of turf war. So I will need help with that.

  • "The Wall" -Defensive support Most Fit for: Rollers and Large Brushes •Try not to die at all • Cover the middle of the map right away •Should have the most kills • Shouldn't let enemies get past the middle • Should spawn to "The Facilitator" a fair amount of times • Be aware of surroundings. • Move up when necessary

  • "The Facilitator" -Focus Offensive Stability Most Fit for: Chargers and Long Range Guns •Should have the Least Deaths •Kill a fair amount of times • Should be stealthy • Activate Echolocation • Be a spawn point • Do a lot of signals •Get an area that is a corridor • Avoid wide open areas

  • Chapter 3: Scheduling As we all know, We all have lives and stuff to do like go to school, work, etc. So it is important that if you want to start a team you establish when your available, how long you're available, and what time zone you live in. This way instead of sporadically coming on asking if so and so is here to play, you can just know when to form squad battles.

  • The best way to do this is probably to have a designated post on one of the four members page. Then just schedule a time.

  • Ok! That concludes THE BLUEPRINT OF SPLATOON. This was very long and has some flaws but I just wanted to put this info out there so that it would be easier to form team meetings. Thanks for reading.
