    There is red. On outfits, maybe even weapons. But there is no red ink. Even the Autobot themed ink is slightly pink. Theory is that Nintendo doesn't want the ink to look like blood. Especially given that when an Inkling gets splattified, they explode into enemy colored ink... Which leads to the obvious question: Do Inklings use the blood of their enemies for their ink?

    I read somewhere that in an interview for a different site, Splatoon Developers explained that the Splatfest faxes are from things humans beamed into space, & they refected back off something & arrive thousands of years later, & are made the topics of Splatfests, or something like that. Transformers makes since in that context, because Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus, did promo stuff with NASA

    Personally, I assume the Fax Machine the Inklings kinda worship (they do hold Festivals in tribute to it's info) is one NASA left hooked up to one of their alien signal receivers & forgot about as the world was flooding/ coming to an end, & is somehow still operational. I find it a bit funny there are warding charms all over it.
