Pikmin 3

Pikmin 3 has been sitting in my pile of unplayed games for over two years now. It's time to finally give it a try. I'm already missing the Gamecube controls. I keep trying to move the Pikmin around with the R-stick, but it doesn't work. How do you swarm creatures in this game? And how do you make them shimmy against walls to avoid hazards?

    I can only awnser your first question. First you aim at a enemy, then you press ZL to lock on, and B to swarm. Hope this helped.

    Thanks. But that seems really inefficient, especially in a game with a time limit, to add extra steps to do something that we could do more simply and with more precision in previous games.

    It's just weird that they took so much away. Can you not zoom in and out and change the viewing angle anymore, either? All I can do is spin the camera left or right. It's getting a little frustrating. Pikmin 1&2 had perfect controls, but this one is really restrictive for some reason.

    I haven't played it since it released but I used the Wiimote and Nunchuck to play. The gamepad was only used as a map and to warp I believe. I tried playing only with the gamepad and it was bad.

    I'd use the Wiimote, but it seems like a hassle to do that AND use the gamepad as a map. And using the stylus would cramp my hand. Controls like that were bad enough on DS...Trying to do it with the gamepad would give me full-on arthritis.

    it has gamepad only controls,besides touch but i find it hard xD may be the type your looking for

    That's what I'm using. My problem is that this game is missing a lot of control functionality that the GameCube games had.
