    He'll technically be alive, as he appears in future cutscenes, but he can't participate in battle no more. Essentially, he's dead.

    So, I see you saw my new alt design the other day... yeah... Also, are any side quests missed if a character gets defeated in battle? Erk just died in Ch. 8.

    Aw, Erk's one of my favs so far. I don't think you miss sidequests, but you may miss a bunch of characters in chapter 14 and 15 because of Erk. Not 100% sure tho.
