    kona: Not developed by Nintendo, but it still had to go through Nintendo's approval process to get published. That's why Final Fantasy "II" for Super Nintendo is so different from all it's re-releases.

    Yup. Final Fantasy IV (Originally titled "II" in the US because the actual II and III were Japan-only) is probably the Final Fantasy game with the highest number of releases and re-releases.

    Granted, I haven't actually checked if another FF has more versions, but IV has two Super Famicom versions, it's on the SNES, PlayStation, the GBA, the DS, PSP, pre-iOS phones in Japan, iOS/Android, PC...
