Smash NX Lucina

In SSB NX do you think they should they make a new moveset for her or just replace her with Chrom and have her as a costume change

    there is only one and that is lucina she serves the very specific pupose of helping melee marth players get used to the new ranges. and only shares dancing blade. he was a clone in melee but no longer. dark pit/pit is the ones who need next game overhauls.

    that's true his smashes look similar but his up b is a multi hit has adjustable angle of ascent and is not a kill move. food for thought samus and falcon share these animations: f-smash, get-up attack from ground and ledge, air dodge, and up tilt. is falcon a clone of samus though?

    No, I mean hes like Falco and Toon Link, a semi clone done well but what I'm saying here is that he plays a bit like Marth. What if they brought Young Link back, nobody would want another Link semi clone they'd want him to have a new moveset, perferably using the MM masks

    yes but they did that with others they brought back ie lucas, roy, falco. so why kick the melee players like that i say over haul dark pit he literally is the same doesn't even have a mechanic difference to justify him.

    I say don't remove Roy, but for Lucina either give her an original moveset or replace her with Chrom and have her as a costume swap

    Yeah I can see them having the same treatment as Luigi from 64 to melee. Afterall, Lucina is a popular FE character and a character that was heavily requested before smash 4 was release.

    By the time SSB5 comes out, it's likely that Awakening isn't relevant anymore οωο Corrin will most likely replace Lucina and Robin together. If she does return, though, I don't think they'll give her a different set of moves οωο

    I don't think it'd be that easy οωο Lucina was meant to be an alt for Marth, but they decided to make her a seperate character and changed Marth's sword mechanics. Let's say that SSB5 will come out in 4 to 6 years from now, because that's about the same distance between Melee and Brawl, and Brawl and SSB4.     but would they really go through the effort of making up a new moveset for those characters? Dr. Mario returned but was the same as in Melee οωο I doubt they would put in that much effort. Maybe Lucina will be a Marth alt in the next SSB, but I doubt they'd give her different moves rather than focussing on new fighters. Maybe a new FE could be in the works by then, so they'd focus on that οωο

    Or maybe Dr. Mario, Lucina and Dark Pit will still be clones, but are selected by alternate skins, and not separate slots. That way challenges that require specific characters won't force you to play as them, which is one reason people probably are opposed to clones entirely.
